Footprints Of An Angel
When tragedy hits you rely on a friend,
Someone who will comfort and stay till the end.
As I sit here and reflect back at my life today...
I realize you have touched my heart in every way
Through the bad times and the good you were always there
Whenever you sensed the hurt you told me to beware
You were a shoulder for me to wipe away my tears
You gave advice which made what to do quite clear
Your a hero to me, someone I look-up to
A confidant, a listener, who showed me through
You lifted up my soul, carrying it on your wings
You helped me reach, reach in everything
Pieces of you lie here in my heart
Deep inside we will truly never part
So seasons may come and go and friends may too,
But you made a lasting impression on me,
you know its true...
Through thick and thin there will always be you
You are a gift sent from up above,
never to say good-bye...
Because friends are angels who lift you up off
your feet when your wings forget how to fly.
